Think Tank, a forum for the diverse voices of the Harvard black community to be heard and displayed through scholarly means.
Political Forum, a place for students to discuss political events going on in today's world. Please note that the views expressed in the articles and statements solely represent the viewpoints of the authors of the article.

But even more impressive our blogs independently managed by members of our organization, listed below. If you would like to be included in this listing, do not hesitate to contact us!

The Minds of Black Folk
The thoughts and insights of Malcolm Rivers '09, an Afro-American Studies & Government concentrator in Dunster House.
the sun arises. gold-glowing child.
"the title of this blog comes from the last two sentences of jean toomer’s "cane." after taking the reader through the cane fields and labyrinthine characters/emotions of the old south, toomer completes his circular dream (or nightmare) with an image of a new south, a new america ... a new world.
toomer forces you to think, but he also encourages you to dream. his world, though realistic and devoid of ideal types, is a dream world - a world of suppressed emotions that express themselves in intermittent spurts, like an ailing heart that must die before it can be revived.
barack obama reminds me of jean toomer. both are complicatingly black and american. both question what it means to be black and american. both love what it means to be black and american. and both believe that america's heart can be revived (or re-made, altogether).
this blog isn't anything in particular, or in general for that matter. just my thoughts, my art and maybe some of my fiction. maybe it's my own "gold-glowing child, [stepping] into the sky."
