As the largest cultural organization on Harvard's campus, the Harvard Black Students Association strives to enhance the experience of black students. Under the leadership and guidance of our first President, Anthony Chase '77, the BSA was originally formed to unite the black student voice and to fortify the Harvard black community. Today, we continue this legacy by serving a a space for black students to interact, fellowship, and shape our university. With over 300 undergraduate members and 3,000 alumni, the BSA is poised to make significant contributions in enriching the experience of every black undergraduate at Harvard.
The BSA's mission is threefold: to galvanize and unify the Harvard black community, to educate Harvard's campus about black history and culture, and to serve the black community outside of Harvard's campus. We accomplish these goals through community service, social events, political activism, academic support, and career preparation. Through these initiatives, we aim to equip our members with the tools necessary for success in all facets of Harvard life and beyond. We also strive to positively affect the Black communities of both Boston and Cambridge.
The Harvard Black Student's Association openly collaborates with other student groups, Harvard's Administration, and a variety of outside organizations. Join us as we seek to embellish the Harvard Black experience for current and future generations of Harvard students.
Black Community Love,
